Don’t even bother to try this product. I bought one as a gift but it wouldn’t even recognize its own demo CD, so I returned it for replacement. When the second one arrived, we spent some time trying it out and it was completely disappointing. The CD controls and on-screen display work well enough, but the audio is terrible. There is no combination of control settings that will actually let you hear your voice as you sing along with the music. We also tried connecting the audio outputs to our home stereo system, with equally disappointing results. Other reviewers have already commented on the poor quality of the microphone that is included with this product. We took the mic and plugged it into a high-quality audio amplifier and it worked fairly well, although still not top quality. We then took a high-end mic and plugged it into the karaoke machine. Even with a very good mic, we still couldn’t hear the vocal output. The other big problem is the general audio quality. When you start to sing into the mic, there is a short delay before the vocals come out the speakers. When the output vocal finally starts, it is accompanied by a loud background hiss. When you stop singing, the background hiss continues for about a second before it shuts off. The hiss is almost as loud as the music track, and far louder than the vocals. Bottom line – this product just doesn’t deserve the high marks that it continues to get from industry reviewers.  help, By
