I bought this item from a local store about a year and a half ago and was very pleased with the looks and quality. I use it mostly to play my old vinyl records and the sound quality is pretty good for the price. However, the turntable recently quit working. I have probably only played 20 to 30 records on this in the time I have had it and feel it should have lasted a little longer, but it is possible I just got a lemon. This one was an exchange as the first one I bought didn’t play CD’s right out of the box.

i was looking to buy one of these for my girlfriend a couple years ago so i shopped around. after taking a comparable Crosley product out of the box and wiggling the actual turntable (WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR!!!) it just felt like a cheap piece of plastic comparable to a McDonald’s toy. In fact i think McDonald’s could probably make a better mechanism than that. So after looking into the Emerson, I found that the turntable was much sturdier. Now it is still fairly cheap plastic but it is 10 times better than the Crosley. The sound quality on this does not give you the full “vinyl experience” but if you’re just looking for a fairly cheap all-in-one device to play records/cds/radio/tapes then this is probably it. |
